HBE Avocats takes part in the colloquium marking 20 years of CCJA jurisprudence, organized by the OHADA Bar Conference and JUS Africa in Yaoundé.

Sylvie Bebohi Ebongo (HBE Avocats) speaks at the colloquium on 20 years of CCJA jurisprudence and the development of ADR in Yaoundé.

The Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) was established following the signing of the OHADA Treaty in 1993, which was revised in 2008. The Community’s Supreme Court rendered its first judgments on October 11, 2011, and has undergone numerous changes since then. After two decades, an assessment of its case law is warranted.

The colloquium organized by the Conference of Bars of the OHADA Area and JUS AFRICA, held from March 23 to 25, 2022, at the Mont Febe Hotel in Yaoundé, Cameroon, provided the opportunity for such an assessment.

During the colloquium, Maître Sylvie BEBOHI EBONGO spoke in a workshop discussion on CCJA jurisprudence and the development of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods. The event was held in person in the city of the seven hills.
