On July 24, 2024, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea deposited its instrument of ratification of the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States (the ICSID Convention) with the World Bank. Equatorial Guinea becomes the 159th State to have ratified the Convention since its entry into force in 1966.
Through this ratification on July 24, 2024, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea—which had signed the ICSID Convention on June 13, 2024, and is one of the OHADA member states—joins the other States Parties that had ratified it before. The ICSID Convention has been in force in Equatorial Guinea since August 23, 2024. As a result, all ten OHADA member states are now members of the ICSID Convention.
